I’ve had to stay in a few hotels in Bishop recently due to moving shenanigans. This by far has been one of my favorite places to stay. Fully stocked kitchen in room, clean sheets, super clean bathroom, and wonderfully kind service. Seriously one of the best places in Bishop to stay. A true hidden gem.
My family has lived in Bishop for five generations. When I come to visit them, the Village Motel is where I stay. The rooms are clean and beautiful and the staff are extremely accommodating. They have a nice swimming pool and their location is within easy walking distance from most things in Bishop. This Motel is a lovely step back in time in all the good ways.
Some rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean! I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years, I love dealing with the same people every time. Adriana has stellar customer service and as I am in customer service myself…I REALLY appreciate how she goes out of her way. Despite there being newer places in town to stay, we like the fact that we can park directly in front of our room and it is located near the center of town but off 395 so nice and quiet. The Bishop Village Motel is always our home away from home.
Older property with lots of character and good maintenance (mattresses are worn out though). No active front desk. Best prices through direct booking with flexible cancellation policies.
After normally staying at a different hotel, a positive review of the Bishop Village Motel was seen! So, it was given a try. Adrianna Mullin gave extra quality customer quality to my concerns when making the reservations. She gave me a non pet room as on occasions very discomforting allergy symptoms have been experienced with dog hairs at other establishments. She also answered questions about parking. The was a trip back to the 50's (as desired)! It was clean and everything fully functional. As one can see from the pictures, the neighbors are pretty quiet! The only drawbacks were the pool was ice cold, even though it was in the 80's that day and there was no breakfast. You can not sit down for breakfast at the nearby McDonald's until 0700! The Denny's (.6 miles away) opened at 0500. Maria B, a former employee of the Bishop Village Motel, gave excellent service to all the morning customers!
Clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. TIP: Making a reservation on their website is cheaper than doing so on other third party booking websites.

I stayed at Bishop Village Motel for a night on my way to go skiing the next day. It is a well kept older motel that was perfect for my needs. I got in late at night but was able to access my room without a problem because they send you via email a key code to unlock the door. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom & shower in my room were small & a bit awkward but not a hindrance. I liked how my room had a full kitchen even though I didn't use it. The room rate for the night I stayed was slightly cheaper than comparable options all of which did not have as good as reviews as Bishop Village Motel. Definitely a good value for what I was expecting and I would be happy to stay again.
